Comedian Patrick Salvado has spoken out to clear the air about his wife, Daphine Frankstock, and her move to Canada—a decision that had previously sparked rumors that she had left him and their children.
Salvado revealed that the move was not about separation but about Daphine finding her own fulfillment. While his career was flourishing in Uganda, he admitted that hers wasn’t. His fame, ironically, became a stumbling block.
“I failed to get my wife a job here,” Salvado confessed. “Employers were hesitant to hire her because they feared I might expose them if they mistreated her. Without knowing it, my popularity became a burden that blocked her opportunities.”
With the encouragement of Salvado’s sisters, who live abroad, Daphine decided to relocate to Canada. Salvado said the family fully supported the move, and the results have been positive for everyone.
“She’s doing well, very happy, and the marital problems we had are no more,” he shared warmly. “We are very okay.”
For Salvado, the decision proved that sometimes love means letting your partner find their own space to grow—even if it means living continents apart.
