Popular content creator Shalom Kaweesi has launched a scathing attack on some of his fellow YouTubers, accusing them of plotting to see him “rot in jail” during his recent incarceration.
Speaking during an emotional interview with YouTuber and media personality Kasuku, Shalom claimed that some people within the online content space were actively working with his enemies to ensure he remained locked up at Luzira Prison for much longer.
“Some YouTubers were working with my tormentors to ensure I don’t get out of jail. They played different games just to see me rot in Luzira because they are afraid of my growth and influence,” Shalom said.
The outspoken YouTuber argued that his rising popularity and expanding influence online have made him a target among insecure rivals who feel threatened by his success.
Despite the alleged betrayal, Shalom expressed deep gratitude to the people who stood by him during the difficult period, acknowledging friends, fans, and supporters who, according to him, did everything within their power to see him regain his freedom.
“There are those who truly supported me and fought for my release. I will never forget them,” he added.
Shalom’s remarks have since triggered intense debate across social media, with fans and fellow creators taking sides as the Ugandan YouTube community grapples with the fallout from his explosive claims.
