Reports circulating in Kampala’s business and political circles suggest that Mirembe Beddings has ended her relationship with Nsambya Furniture and may now be romantically linked to Kalungu East MP-elect, Yusuf Nkerettanyi.
According to sources close to the situation, the once-publicised relationship between Mirembe and Nsambya Furniture has reportedly collapsed after allegations that Nsambya Furniture was unfaithful with one of Mirembe’s close friends.
Despite attempts at reconciliation, Mirembe is said to have decided to move on.
It is further alleged that she has since left the home she shared with Nsambya Furniture and is currently staying at her sister’s apartment in Rubaga Division.
Gossip circles now claim that Mirembe has grown close to Yusuf Nkerettanyi, with whom she reportedly shares business interests in the curtains and textile trade.
The two are said to operate in the same industry, and insiders allege that Nkerettanyi previously supported Mirembe’s business before he entered active politics in Masaka.
Yusuf Nkerettanyi was recently declared Member of Parliament-elect for Kalungu East in Kalungu District.
However, his victory is currently under dispute, as his opponent Vincent Bamulangali Sempija has formally demanded a vote recount.
None of the parties involved have publicly commented on the allegations.
