Media personality and politician Justine Nameere has revealed how emotionally attached she is to her husband, saying she would have struggled to cope if he had been arrested instead of her.
Speaking during an interview with a local television station, Nameere said she deeply loves and trusts her husband, Nsubuga, and believes his arrest would have pushed her into extreme frustration.
“If they had taken Papito instead of me, I would have gone crazy. I would have become a problem to them because I love my husband. He is the person I wholeheartedly believe in,” she partly explained.
Nameere was reportedly arrested last week before later being released. Reports linked her arrest to allegations surrounding political mobilisation in support of Speaker Anita Among despite growing pressure for Among to step away from the Speakership race.
Her comments have since attracted mixed reactions online, with some people praising her loyalty to her husband while others debated the political circumstances surrounding her arrest.
