First things first; I must come clean on the fact that my intent is not to underestimate any artist. The clear truth is, Professionalism is something all artists need to grasp if they want to be considered as professional and respectable artists. Many artists fail to realize that the people they need in order to succeed are sensitive and don't have time for improper communication, drama, and irresponsible talk.
When communicating with radio stations, social media venues, and other platforms it is important to be clear, concise, well-spoken and never to cause controversy that may lead one section of the other fan base hurt. Because one day it will be really hard for you, if an opportunity is lost due to stupidity and a lack of professionalism! And am sorry to say, Bebe Cool is suffering from that disease. It’s a shame that needs to be addressed ASAP.
Last year, Bebe Cool while being hosted on Koona Ne NTV show with Miles Rwamiti, he categorically said: Eddy Kenzo was an “upcoming artist”. Someone would ask, is calling Eddy Kenzo an upcoming artist bad? Maybe yes, according to the prevailing situation then. Bebe Cool further went on Dembe FM, talk n talk show and bravely said “Kenzo is not a musician but a very good dancer”. Well, that’s very shocking and irresponsible of an artist who believes he has been in the industry for more than 20 years.
Today Bebe Cool took to his Facebook page in a long message and said: “Well, i want to congratulate my Ugandan brother upon his achievement in the BET but am not about to take back my word because am very sure there’s a difference between the pioneers and upcoming but both respected and both capable of anything”
“his misguided fans have gone around saying they will not vote for Bebe Cool because he called Kenzo an upcoming artist 2 years ago, and that's the kind of hypocrisy some Ugandans have”
