Ugandan singer and song writer Bakri Matovu popularly known for Songs like 18 & Over and Tondabisa, has been making a slow and sporadic return on the Music scene, but it seems he is going to pace up this time round.

Yesterday July 24, Howwe.biz visited the singer at his Fashion store Located along Jinja road at Uganda house. During a chat that lasted for about an hour, Bakri told us about his life off the Music Scene and how big he is earning in tailoring.

"This is where I spend most of my time, Me and tailoring are like wife and husband. I do not have to wait for Music shows  like many Singers, to put food on my table or fulfill my personal needs, this job is paying me impressively and I can tell you- I am the next billionaire in line " -- he says with with a smile constructed on his face.

Dressed flamboyantly in a stripped Tshirt and blue jeans, Bakri explains that he has been practicing tailor work ever since he was a little boy. He credits his father for introducing him into the business.

Dj Shiru Boosts Singer Bakri's Music Career

Asked on whether he will quit Music to concentrate on tailoring, the youthful singer assuredly states that he will continue singing, though he has been on a hiatus of Music, but he is back and bigger than ever.

"I don't do music as a business, I was born a singer and I do it with passion. In the recent past I have however been busy with fashion but I realized my name was fading off the Music charts and there was demand from my fans, I decided to re-brand and now am a new Bakri, people should watch out for new music"

He hints at shooting a ballistic video for his new song release titled Deyaso, which features Dj Shiru and phadaman.
