Sheila Gashumba and her dad Frank Gashumba were almost clobbered to death by angry students at annual Face Of MUK talent exhibition. The two were save by police’s swift action as they were throw on the patrol car and evacuated from a potentially a life threatening situation.

Sheila was among the judges for “The face of MUK” as the newly appointed ambassador of Radiant which sponsored the event.

According to eye witnesses, the ruckus started, when Sheila Gashumba was given a mic to announce the winner and give her comments, the NTV the Beat presenter grabbed  the mic and attempted to address Makerereans while sited, this was obviously a sign of  much disrespect.

The eye witness reported that:

The mic was handed over to sheila gashumba who was ofcourse the most revered judge on the panel to announce the winner.

At that point, the mistake she did was to address the audience whilst seated. She never stood. Trust me ,this was a miscalculation. Students started abusing her, calling her all sorts and forth not permitting her to utter any single word. In just a few minutes, bitter students had climbed the stage in protest'
