While addressing the mourners  at late Mowzey Radio's burial in Nakawuka on Saturday, music icon Jose Chameleone called upon all artistes to be more careful and also stand together as they defend themselves because their lives matter a lot to the society.

He said, “I urge all artistes to be more cautious and careful, If need be, move with pangas for security in your cars to avoid more of such killings. Artistes are dying in very brutal ways. The Artistes’ industry is as important to the Ugandan economy as any other industry. Artistes are very valuable people. Government should to look into these killings and further provide adequate security for artistes.”

He went further to say, “Artistes are not violent people. There is a perception that we are violent people. We refute that. Lastly, please artistes stop being in compromising places, try to always be as safe as you can possibly be and avoid being alone.”

Remarkably, Jose Chameleone is not the first person to advise people to move with pangas and sticks. After Afande Kaweesi's murder early last year, President also advised the general public to be careful and move with pangas, sticks and fight enemies face to face.

We shall keep you posted.
