Uganda Police have confirmed the arrest of former Sky Pins Tours and Travel director Christian Asiimwe, popularly known as Don Chris, over allegations of obtaining money by false pretences and fraudulent labour recruitment.

According to police, Don Chris was arrested at around 2:00am on August 27, 2026, at a bar in Zana, Makindye-Ssabagabo Municipality in Wakiso District.

He is currently in police custody as investigations into the allegations continue.

Allegedly Promised Jobs Abroad

Police allege that between 2022 and 2025, Don Chris obtained money from several people after allegedly promising to secure employment for them in countries including Canada, the United Kingdom, Qatar and Dubai.

The jobs he allegedly promised included positions as waiters, cleaners and caregivers.

However, police say the affected individuals paid money but never received the promised employment opportunities.

“KMP has arrested Asiimwe Christian (Don Chris), who was the director of Sky Pins Tours and Travel, in connection with allegations of obtaining money by false pretences and fraudulent labour recruitment,” police said.

Could Face Court

Don Chris is expected to be taken to court once police complete their investigations.

The allegations against him have not yet been determined by a court, and he remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
