Former Kawempe South MP Kazibwe Bashir Mbaziira is reportedly earning Shs200,000 per show for hosting his new radio programme, Alipoota Olutagajjjo, on Beat FM.

According to sources familiar with the arrangement, Kazibwe hosts the talk show every Sunday from 12pm to 2pm, with the reported payment translating to about Shs800,000 per month.

Sources cited by local media claim that Kazibwe did not demand a big salary from the station, allegedly asking only for what he referred to as “small fuel” money.

“He is already well-off financially and just wants to share his knowledge with the public. He is not looking for a huge salary,” one source was quoted as saying.

Kazibwe, who previously served as the Kawempe South legislator, has since ventured into radio, using the platform to engage listeners on different issues through his weekly programme.

However, neither Kazibwe nor Beat FM has officially confirmed the reported Shs200,000-per-show figure, meaning the claims remain unverified.
