Singer Sqoop Larma has opened up about his love life, revealing that finding genuine love remains one of his biggest personal challenges.
According to the singer, his celebrity status has made it difficult to convince women that his intentions are sincere, with some allegedly assuming that he is a womaniser rather than someone genuinely looking for a serious relationship.
“My biggest problem in life has been finding true love. Every time I try to let a lady know how I feel, they think I’m lying. I just insist, but most times they think I’m doing the same to other women, yet in actual sense I’m not,” he said.
Sqoop said his ideal partner is a calm, God-fearing woman who can think ahead and contribute meaningful ideas and direction to a relationship.
He also reflected on his previous relationships, claiming that some women he dated mainly benefited from him financially without adding value in other areas of his life.
“I rarely go after internet women. I love girls out of the media. I love a woman who adds value to me; not money but thinking and planning. That is my kind of woman, not those who prefer partying all the time. All the ones I have had just keep taking from me,” he said.
Sqoop said he now values a partner who can contribute through ideas, planning and personal growth rather than one who is primarily interested in his finances.
