Veteran dramatist and media personality Charles James Ssenkubuge is mourning the death of his wife, Agnes Ssenkubuge.
Agnes passed away at the couple’s home in Makindye on Monday, September 21, according to fellow actor Andrew Benon Kibuuka.
Kibuuka revealed that Agnes had recently undergone surgery and was receiving treatment at home after being discharged from hospital.
She was reportedly found dead at the family home by her nurse.
A vigil is currently being held in Makindye, while a Requiem Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, at Christ the King Church in Kampala.
Following the Mass, her body will be transported to Ssanda, Nakawuka, in Busiro, where she is scheduled to be laid to rest on Wednesday.
Members of Uganda’s entertainment fraternity have continued to stand with Ssenkubuge and his family as they mourn the loss.
