Musician Edirisa Musuuza, aka Eddy Kenzo, is one of the most criticized Ugandans. His critics date back to the early days of his career, especially after he won the BET award.
Many people, including media personalities, claimed at the time that he was just lucky and not truly talented.
Kenzo, however, has responded to these critics, stating that he is here to teach. He believes his hard work and resilience have paid off, and his achievements speak for themselves.
"I am a BET award winner, a Nickelodeon award winner, a Grammy nominee, and a multiple award winner. I have performed in stadiums in over 50 countries. I’ve seen it all. I am here to teach. There’s nothing you can undo. People should just come to me, and we should unite to move the music industry forward," he said.
The Big Talent boss emphasized the importance of unity among Ugandans for the growth and development of the industry.
He also said that Ugandans are often afraid of competition and would rather bring someone down than support them for the betterment of society.
"No matter what people say about me, they can’t bring me down. Ugandans don’t understand healthy competition; they always want to drag you down," he added.
Eddy Kenzo is Uganda’s most awarded artist and was recently appointed a presidential advisor on creatives by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
