The President of the Common Man’s Party, Mubarak Munyagwa, has sparked controversy after accusing the top two presidential contenders — Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) — of hiring and transporting people to attend their rallies.

Speaking during an interview on Sanyuka Television, Munyagwa alleged that both NRM and NUP rely heavily on financial muscle and IPOD funds to stage big crowds.

“I believe I’m third in the race. NRM and NUP are ahead of me for now, but I’m skyrocketing and will soon overtake them. They have the advantage of money — they receive IPOD funds and ferry people to their campaign rallies,” he claimed.

The outspoken politician further revealed that his message has been well received in Western Uganda, where he says he’s gaining strong support and momentum.

“I’m the one with the message for the people of Western Uganda. I’ve been welcomed with enthusiasm. My candidature has gained momentum, and people have embraced my message of hope,” he added.

Munyagwa, known for his fearless and humorous political style, is among the several candidates challenging President Museveni and Bobi Wine in the 2026 general elections.
