Musician Irene Ntale recently signed a deal with music label, Universal Records Nigeria. Ntale had earlier said she would never be under any label but she turned around and put a pen on the paper.
“I was contacted in 2017, but I never wanted to sign with any label. I had just left Swangz,” she explained.
She added, "I ignored their offer but the label contacted me again last year. We finalized everything this year."
Ntale says the best part of the deal is that she won’t have to invest money in her music again.
“They are catering for everything. The past two years have not been easy for me. Music is expensive. Now the burden is off me,” she explained.
