Musician Bobi Wine has not had shows in Uganda for a long time after the government banned all his shows.

The singer was barred from staging shows due to his political engagements.

In the face of the lockdown, President Museveni imposed tough measures to avoid the spread of coronavirus, among them; banning music shows.

Many artistes have as a result been affected greatly. Some have cried out for help from government but Bobi wine condemns such moves.

“Artistes should stop treating themselves as though they are more special than other people. Everyone has been affected. If it’s getting help, not just artistes needed it but everyone,”  Bobi Wine explains.

He advises artistes to stop living luxuries lives, save money for such situations.

“I have been able to survive without shows because I saved money,” he says.
