Rapper Mun G has boasted that no Ugandan musician can beat him in a music battle.

Speaking in a discussion on a local podcast, Mun G explained that not even the Ugandan legends can manage him. He says even Bebe Cool can't beat him and that it's only the late Radio and Chameleone who could give him a run for his money.

"There isn't any Ugandan artist who can outdo me in a versus. Keep in mind that a battle is primarily about performance. The only artist I think could have truly challenged me is the late Mowzey Radio. Maybe Chameleone can too, since he has hits, but I think we could go head to head," he explained.

Mun G says he has over thirty-five hit songs and no other artiste can outcompete him because his catalog is endless.

"I have recently realized that I have around 35 hit tracks and can select just 20 to compete with anyone. However, aside from those two, I firmly believe that no one else can confront me and win. I have a huge catalog," he added.

Mun G, who is staging a concert this month, says his statements are not intended to disrespect any artiste but he is simply stating the truth.

"It's not about disrespect for anyone, but that is the truth," he says.

Different people have since responded to his claims, and many believe he is just blowing his own trumpet.

Music critic Frank Ntambi believes many Ugandan artistes can go on to beat Mun G because his music doesn't resonate with the audience.

"No disrespect to my brother Mun G, but many artists would cut his throat in case of a battle because for me, the outcome of a musical battle isn't always about who has "most" hits but rather who resonates more with the audience and performs strategically. That's why Bebe Cool defeated Goodlife even when they had the "most hits."
It's never about just hits, but does the whole catalog have recognizable, timeless hits that resonate across generations like Maddoxx or Afrigo's, Mr. Mun G??" Frank Ntambi questioned.
