Veteran dramatist and outspoken critic Alex Mukulu has once again set tongues wagging after taking aim at Alien Skin. Speaking to Spark TV, Mukulu dismissed the Sitya Danger hitmaker as “just a poet,” insisting that Ugandans must learn to separate real musicians from entertainers who thrive on chaos.

“A real musician cannot form gangs to attack others. That’s not music, that’s thuggery,” Mukulu fumed. He compared today’s crop of stars with legends like Philly Lutaaya, Elly Wamala, Fred Masagazi, and Christopher Kawalya, stressing that those icons only competed through music, not physical altercations.

Mukulu went further, branding Alien Skin and Fik Gaza as artists who have lowered industry standards. “Alien Skin, Fik Gaza… aren’t singers. You can even see from their names. Why can’t they use their actual names? Those boys are poets,” he scoffed.

His comments, however, quickly divided fans online. While some praised him for “telling the bitter truth,” others rushed to Alien Skin’s defense, arguing that his street style and raw energy are exactly what makes him unique.
