
Preparations are in high gear in Fort Portal town ahead of the 30th National Resistance Movement-NRM Liberation Day slated for tomorrow Tuesday January 26th 2016.
According to a statement released by the minister for presidency Hon. Frank Tumwebaze, the national celebrations will be held tomorrow at St Leo's College grounds in Fort Portal under the theme; “30 Years of NRM's Committed Stewardship, A Remarkable Legacy for Uganda.”
Today, several workers were seen at the venue putting final touches to the preparations as NRA Liberation war songs played in the background.
More than twenty tents, where guests will sit have also been erected.
President Museveni who is campaigning in the area will be the chief guest as the party celebrates 30 years in power.
The day is celebrated on January 26 everyday to commemorate the fall of Tito Okello's regime in 1986.
