The Jinja Residence District Commissioner Sakwa Eric Joseph and two other people have been sent to jail for murder and robbery of one Charles Isanga.
ccording to the charge sheet, Sakwa, Bazimbyewa Bumali alias Chris Umar and Simba Mohammed alias Meddie and others at large, while at Lwanda village in Jinja district on March 22nd 2020, stole money (80,000), sodas, eggs, beer among other things valued at approximately UGX 429,000.
The thugs also used actual violence on the said Isanga Charles, killing him. They also willfully and unlawfully damaged a glass counter, the property of Isanga.
The RDC was arrested from NBS fm studios in jinja on Friday and taken to Jinja Regional Police Headquarters, before appearing before Jinja High Court.
The accused were charged with man slaughter, beating, kidnapping, robbery and torture. They have been remanded to Kirinya prison till 13th May 2020.
