Late Kateegeya’s Widow Finally Finds New Love

Diana Karungi, the second wife of the late Eriya Kategaya has found a new man. Kategaya passed on few years back. Karungi spent most of the last two years fighting for the late husband’s property in Lyatonde. She has finally given up and has decided to concentrate on her love life. We are digging to get the real names of the man but we can confirm that she is dating a city lawyer who was handling her court cases at family court, Crusade house.

Sources say that Karungi who stays in Kawempe is secretly going to introduce his fiancé to her parents in Kiruhura and all the preparations are underway.

In 2015, Karungi came to the lime light when she openly started fighting with her co-wife who was living in Ntungamo over cattle and land. A bitter altercation erupted between Lyantonde Resident District Commissioner Mr Tiguragara Matojo Salongo and Karungi. The RDC nearly exchanged blows with Karungi after showing up again at her farm in Mpumudde Sub County, apparently to monitor its management. The RDC who was by then flanked by police said he had come to check whether or not the property of the late Kategaya was being mismanaged by the family.

He believed that Karungi had hatched a plan to sell off part of the farm. Upon being questioned, the gravely incensed widow charged at the RDC, asking him to leave his property immediately. “If you want to remain a deejay go back to your radio stations and leave administration to more capable people,” she charged. “I know all the tricks up your sleeve and I will fall to none of them.”

The RDC is veteran radio personality who became a household name on Radio West and Radio Uganda (UBC) in the last two decades.
