Kampala is a city with many black spots and most of these places lack signposts to alert road users. Many Ugandans are losing their lives. The rate of crime is rising very fast and Ugandans need to know these places in order not to fall victims. Around these black spots, people have lost their lives. People have lost the property. Don’t move around these places at night or on bodas. If you must, move along these roads with security or move in groups.

Between Kiwatule and Najjera

After leaving Ntinda area business centre, you slope down as you head to Kuwatule. You bypass the big tree called ‘Ku Muvule’. Between those areas up to the flyover on the Northern bypass. That area is very deadly. Even in daylight, thugs can attack you in your car and rob you. It is the same spot where Joan Kagezi was shot dead.

Between Shoprite lugogo and Nakawa

This black spot has been there for years but the Police have never taken it to be serious. Between Nakawa and lugogo, young and strong looking young men are always on foot moving. When cars stop moving due to jam, these guys attack cars randomly and steal people's phones, laptops and all other valuables. It is the same area where Akena was killed by  Kanyamunyu.

Between Entebbe road and clock tower

For this spot, thugs have actually used it as their main office. Young boys rob property from people in daylight and ran down to the Railway side. We were informed that when you try to chase them, you can end up losing your life.  Ugandans have memories of that spot. Women have lost property worth millions at that place.

Nsyambya road

Here, thugs have changed tricks of stealing. They deal directly with Taxi conductors and drivers. These drivers pretend as if fuel is out of their tankers.  They park the car aside but in the process, the thugs are already timing the innocent passengers.  They take away their bags and phones through windows.

Bukoto, Kyanja road

This road that starts from Bukoto up to Kyanja and Kulambiro has also become a black spot for robbers and killers. Between these roads, Felix Kaweesi was murdered.

Northern Bypass

People at one point asked the government to close the northern bypass. By then, accidents were many, robbers were at their peak and murders were escalating. Today, murders continue taking place on this road. People no longer use that road at night.
