Natete Police station is holding a man suspected of raping over 20 University students in one month. The suspect has been identified as Kivumbi Omar aka Hamim Senfuka, a resident of Kabojja. He claims he is a businessman in Natete dealing in clothes.

According to reliable sources at Natete Police station, Hakim has been luring his victims through social media platforms of Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and Snapchat.

One of the victims that led to his arrest is a student from Kampala International University. She narrated to Police how Omar raped her. She says she exchanged WhatsApp numbers and phone contacts with Omar as he gained her trust.

She was later invited by Omar to Star hotel in Nansana where he requested her to escort him home to change clothes to working attire. Having maintained a 6 months relationship, the unsuspecting girl escorted her friend without prior knowledge that the man was posing as a wolf in the sheep’s skin.

When the girl reached the house, Omar inserted a flat iron into the socket and threatened to burn and kill her if she dared not to make love to him. This prompted the girl to allow in fear for her life. She was then dropped off at Nsambya where she immediately communicated to her parents who immediately took her for medical examination and first aid.

A rape case was reported SD ref. 05/23/10/2017.
