The proprietor of Bweyogerere based hangout, Jokas Hotel is in trouble over Shs 1bn debt.
Exclusive information indicates that court brokers and bailiffs are soon attaching the hotel. Through lawyer Kabenge, the owner of the hotel acquired a loan of Shs 1bn but has not cleared it for the last five years. It is alleged that lawyer Kabenge withdraws from the deal after realizing things were not going as earlier planned.
When we visited the hotel over the weekend, it was established that the construction of the new section of the hotel is on standstill after it started two years back in high gear.
