The spokesperson of Action Aid Uganda, Joseph Sabitti, has blamed the strike at Makerere University on the way Prof. Nawangwe runs the institution.
Sabitti says the blood shed at the University could have been avoided if the matter was handled very well by the management.
"Did we have to experience all the blood shed to reverse that policy ? You can't run a University like a Village kiosk," he tweeted.
Makerere students have been in running battles with the army and police for days now. Many students are in jail and some are nursing wounds in hospitals.
