Band musician Princess Amira has spoken about her relationship with Microfinance Minister Haruna Kasolo.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Amira confirmed that she has converted to Islam and also taken a new name in respect for her husband, Kasolo. She is currently known as Amira Kasolo.
Princess Amira says they held a low-budget wedding ceremony, which was not publicized because it didn't matter to the public.
She also boasted of being the Minister's favorite wife, revealing unending love for him.
"I took the Shahada and received a new name; currently, I am Amira Kasolo. I am his favorite wife, and I honor him every day. The Nikah happened, and it was a great moment for us as a family," she explained.
Princess Amira says she closed her restaurant business to fully focus on loving her husband, and it's also the reason she doesn't perform often around town.
"I am personally focused on that at the moment: loving my husband and more along those lines," she added.
Princess Amira and Haruna Kasolo's public wife, Aisha Kasolo, are always confronting each other whenever an opportunity arises.
In January this year, Aisha Kasolo claimed she didn't know Princess Amira as Minister Kasolo's wife because the two are not legally married.
"I don't know Princess Amira. I know all his wives, and they are even registered in the marriage registry. I have never seen her as my co-wife because I doubt they are married," she explained.
