Musician Stecia Mayanja was elected President of the National Peasants Party earlier this month, officially marking her entry into politics.
She also confirmed her bid for the country's highest office, announcing her intention to contest for the presidency.
Controversial promoter Norbert, of Norbert Events, has since commented on the matter, stating that the singer should not have joined politics.
He explained that she is too weak for politics and will not manage to survive easily, unlike her career in music. He believes Mayanja should have stuck to music.
"Stecia Mayanja should have focused on her music and stayed away from politics. Politics isn't for everyone, I don't think she can manage to survive through it," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
The promoter also warned that the worst might be coming her way, as has been the case with most artists who have entered politics.
"I have noticed that musicians who join politics often don’t stay the same. It could be rough for her," he added.
Stecia Mayanja stated that she has joined politics to fight and remove President Museveni from the leadership of this country.
