Singer and presidential advisor Jennifer Namutebi Nakangubi, widely known as Full Figure, was hospitalized after a violent assault in Kampala. She suffered serious injuries in the attack, which took place on Friday, August 29, 2025.
According to a police report, Full Figure was attacked on Kyadondo Road while on her way to a press conference. She identified her assailants as Justin Nameere, the NRM party's Masaka District Woman MP flag bearer, and Nameere’s husband. The attackers allegedly beat her before stealing her phone and 500,000 Ugandan shillings.
The assault was brought to public attention through social media footage showing Nakangubi being struck multiple times. Photos later circulated of her in a hospital bed with severe facial swelling and bruising.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango confirmed that a robbery case had been filed and that detectives were actively searching for Nameere and her husband.
Former Soroti Municipality MP Mike Mukula condemned the attack, calling for an end to what he described as a dangerous trend of impunity and “extra-judicial violence.” Full Figure, who has become a controversial figure in Ugandan politics due to her role as a presidential mobilizer and her outspoken nature, may have been targeted in a politically motivated assault.
