Over the weekend, the media was dominated by news of a dangerous attack on presidential advisor Full Figure.
In a video circulating online, two men are seen viciously attacking Full Figure. They beat her severely, and she is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Kampala.
Allegations have indicated that the attack was masterminded by media personality and fellow presidential advisor, Justine Nameere.
According to a police report, Full Figure was attacked on Kyadondo Road while on her way to a press conference. She identified her assailants as Justine Nameere, the NRM party's Masaka District Woman MP flag bearer, and Nameere’s husband. The attackers allegedly beat her before stealing her phone and 500,000 Ugandan shillings.
It is reported that Nameere retaliated against Full Figure following relentless attacks on her and her husband.
Charles Sekubunge, a colleague of Full Figure, has demanded that police arrest the culprits for their unwarranted assault on her.
"As Salt Media, and as Charles Sekubunge, I call upon the police to act swiftly and arrest the culprits. You should act immediately because the person who was attacked is not an ordinary person. She is a presidential advisor, and the suspects should be brought to justice," he stated.
Full Figure works at Salt Television as a morning show host.
