Following the violent assault on Full Figure, allegedly by Justine Nameere and her friends, reports suggested that Nameere had been sacked from her position as a presidential advisor.

However, she has since come forward to clarify the allegations, stating that she was never sacked. She personally resigned from her role as a senior presidential advisor to join active politics.

Nameere explained that Ugandan law prohibits public servants from participating in elective politics. Therefore, she resigned from her position to contest for the Masaka City Woman MP seat. She is no longer in the office of senior presidential advisor and is currently pursuing her political career.

"I was never sacked; I simply resigned from the position because I joined elective politics. In Uganda, you cannot be a public servant and be in elective politics at the same time. You have to make a decision, and I chose to resign. Whatever allegations are circulating that I was sacked are false," she explained.

Earlier this week, Justine Nameere also denied having taken part in beating Full Figure, asking the police to look for other suspects instead of her.
