Musician King Saha has launched a fierce attack on Minister of State for Finance Haruna Kasolo, accusing him of orchestrating the cancellation of his much-anticipated concert in Kyotera District over the weekend.
Police, led by the Regional Police Commander (RPC) and District Police Commander (DPC), halted the event at the District Grounds, claiming they lacked adequate manpower to guarantee security for attendees.
However, King Saha dismissed the explanation, insisting that the cancellation was politically motivated and engineered by Minister Kasolo.
“It’s baseless for police to say they didn’t have enough security. I had a meeting with the DPC and everything had been cleared. This narrative is ridiculous,” Saha said.
According to the singer, security contacts privately informed him that Minister Kasolo instructed authorities to stop the event due to political tensions.
“It’s Minister Kasolo who asked security to stop my show in Kyotera. He is playing dirty because of politics, but I will not look on as he thrives with these games,” Saha stated.
The furious musician vowed to retaliate politically, promising to dedicate his efforts to ending Kasolo’s parliamentary ambitions.
“I will camp in Kyotera to ensure he faces it tough. I will make sure he doesn’t go to Parliament,” he warned.
Minister Haruna Kasolo is seeking to retain the Kyotera County MP seat, competing against incumbent John Paul Mpalanyi of the National Unity Platform (NUP)—a party strongly supported by King Saha.
The incident has sparked heated debate across social media, with fans and political supporters questioning whether the cancellation was a security measure or political interference aimed at silencing the singer’s growing influence.
