Presidential adviser Jennifer Nakangubi, widely known as Full Figure, has accused singer Bebe Cool of misusing his chance to politically compete with Bobi Wine, ultimately paving the way for the opposition leader’s rise.
Speaking in a heated interview, Full Figure said Bobi Wine would never have reached the level of challenging President Museveni if Bebe Cool had acted decisively when the opportunity first presented itself.
According to Full Figure, the turning point came in 2017, when Bobi Wine entered Parliament after winning the Kyadondo East by-election. She believes Bebe Cool, as one of the most influential musicians at the time, should have stepped into active politics and neutralized Bobi Wine’s growing influence among the youth and urban voters.
“Bobi Wine would never have come up against President Museveni if Bebe Cool played his cards well, but that failed. He misused the opportunity of competing with Bobi Wine. He failed to enter active politics when Bobi Wine joined Parliament,” Full Figure said.
She added that Bebe Cool’s hesitation created a vacuum which Bobi Wine used to expand his political base, eventually transforming into the most formidable opposition force in the country.
Full Figure went further, claiming that Bobi Wine has now outgrown the ‘Big Three’ debate — traditionally dominated by Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, and Jose Chameleone — and that even if he does not win the presidency, his influence has already surpassed that of the other two music giants.
“Bebe Cool and Chameleone can never reach Bobi Wine’s level now, even if Bobi Wine doesn’t become president. He is beyond that conversation,” she added.
Her remarks have reignited fierce debate across social media, with fans of the three music heavyweights clashing over whether Bebe Cool truly missed his political moment — or whether Bobi Wine’s rise was simply unstoppable.
