Socialite Gloria Njuba, a former close friend to media personality Sheila Gashumba, has reportedly checked into rehabilitation over drug and alcohol abuse.
Gloria and Sheila were once inseparable, famously known for living a flashy lifestyle in Kampala, hopping from one city bar to another and spending weekends partying and traveling abroad.
The two were often spotted on luxury trips, allegedly meeting sponsors and living lavishly — a lifestyle that made them some of the most talked-about young socialites at the time.
However, the former best friends later fell out and are no longer on good terms.
Things now seem to have taken a dark turn for Gloria Njuba, who, according to reports, checked into a rehab facility over the weekend and is currently admitted at Butabika Hospital in Kampala.
Sources indicate that Gloria will spend over three months at the mental health facility as doctors and psychiatrists work on stabilizing her condition.
It is also alleged that her close friends have started a donation drive to help raise funds for her medical bills and treatment expenses.
