Dancehall musician Kapeke has ruled out staging a major concert in the near future despite growing calls from fans for him to hold his maiden big show.
Kapeke has enjoyed a strong run in Uganda’s music scene over the past two years, with several of his songs gaining popularity among young music fans.
However, the singer says he is not yet ready to organise a full-scale concert.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Kapeke revealed that he is instead planning a smaller and more intimate gathering specifically aimed at connecting with the young audience that has supported his rise.
“I can't plan a concert right now, but I have something special for my fans. I am talking about the youths, the young ones because those are the people I release music for,” he said.
Kapeke explained that his priority at the moment is to strengthen his connection with his young fan base rather than rush into organising a major concert.
The artiste has remained a prominent name on Uganda’s airwaves for more than two years, building a growing following with his dancehall sound.
