Dancehall singer Karole Kasita has praised Bobi Wine for using music to deliver meaningful messages, crediting his songs for educating and inspiring generations of Ugandans.
Kasita described Bobi Wine as one of the artistes who used music for more than entertainment, saying his songs often carried lessons about life and helped guide young people through different stages of their lives.
“He's one of the artists who used to give us music that educates us,” she recalled.
The singer also praised Bobi Wine for his ability to address life's realities and caution his audience about challenges they may encounter.
According to Kasita, people do not always immediately understand or appreciate such messages, but often recognise their importance as they grow older and gain more experience.
“He's always ahead of us, and he cautions us. Sometimes we're a bit late to see it, but regardless, we appreciate him,” she added.
Kasita's remarks highlight the lasting influence of Bobi Wine's earlier music, particularly among a generation that grew up listening to songs that combined entertainment with social commentary and life lessons.
