City Chefs Win Big With UGACHICK and the Kampala Food Network

Mark Kaheru and Balamaga Rogers are proud winners of 1,000,000 UGX and 500,000 UGX respectively, thanks to Ugachick and Kampala food network. Over the weekend, Ugachick partnered with Kampala Food Network a Closed Facebook Group with Over 9,000 Food Enthusiasts that share photos of their culinary exploits with each other and carried out a cooking competition dubbed KFN Ugachick Cook-off. "Jangu tufuumbe!"

The competition was open to only the Kampala Food Network group members and tasked the chefs to cook Ugachick in the best way they can to impress the judges. The first round saw top 10 contestants cook their best chicken meal in 45 minutes of which five were selected.

The top 5 chefs were Mark, Catherine, Achaya, Leticia and Rogers. The final 5 also were given 45 minutes to prepare their final meal and Mark Kaheru merged the overall winner and walked away with a cash prize of 1,000,000 UGX followed by Balamaga Rogers who came second and got a cash prize of 500,000 UGX.
