The National Peasants' Party (NPP) has officially summoned its own President, singer-turned-politician Hajat Stecia Mayanja Faridah, to appear before its National Executive Committee (NEC) today, September 25, 2025, at 4:00 pm.

Stecia Mayanja explained that she has a past just like everyone else but argued she shouldn't be judged by that history.

Controversial promoter Norbert, of Norbert Events, has since commented on the matter, stating that the singer should not have joined politics.

Stecia Mayanja was elected President of the National Peasants Party and declared her interest in contesting for the country's highest office.
