In a video circulating on social media, Nubian Li was surrounded by several men in police uniforms and put into a waiting police pickup truck.

The singer revealed he has massive support across Nakawa and is very confident of winning the position in the elections next year.

He also explained that Nubian Li had been bragging about securing the party flag long before the vetting process took place.

The elections management committee announced endorsed leaders at the district, sub-county, and city division levels across the country.

He was very prominent in the music business and media for over ten years when Bobi Wine, alongside Bebe Cool and Chameleone, dominated the industry.

He says the government now takes music seriously because it created the strongest opposition against them.

Bobi Wine posted pictures of all four of them in the studio, which created buzz online. Anticipation has been building from all corners.

His political bid has met with resistance from some National Unity Platform members in Nakawa and also from a section of artists within the party.

Nubian Li is seeking to lead the division and believes that with the support of the party president, he will overwhelmingly be voted into leadership.

According to fellow artist King Saha, Nubian Li has already communicated his intentions to the leadership of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and is ready to embrace the challenge.
