The winner Miss Tourism Northern, Norah Atim and Resty Namawejje are reported dead after a Prado car they were travelling in got involved in a fatal accident along Maya, Masaka – Mbarara highway heading to Mbarara to cover Miss Tourism Ankole finals.
In the car were Najengo Rehema, Barbie Nakiwolo, Ivan Ssebuuma the photographer, plus another camera man of NTV. So far three people have been confirmed dead, one Norah Atim and Resty NTV, others in critical condition in Mulago hospital where they were rushed.
Details and cause of accident are still scanty, but the eye witness attributed the accident to over speeding. A great loss to the media fraternity and their families. We will update you as more information is availed after Traffic police has finally done its work.
