In their defense, Wink Bar just released two footage from a July. 25 morning event in which 5 girls were apparently beaten by the bar's guards. But these same footages could drag the bar in some serious mess.
The footage seems very clear about the details. The girls were beaten by a guard who came from inside Wink Bar after a boda boda cyclist handed him a tree branch. He followed the girls as they were leaving the bar's entrance—clearly, the girls were finally leaving after the altercation, but he still followed them with a cane ... and judging by the bruises we all saw, he must hit them really bad.
Before the beating, the quarrel went on and on until the other 4 girls pulled their friend—who the bar claims is underage—away from the entrance as they finally realized they had lost the battle and decided to leave.
It's at this very moment that a guard from Wink moved out of the bar, stood for a few second before a boda boda guy brought him a stick ... he followed the girls who were already leaving and apparently beat them up.
The viral post titled "Brutalising Women at wink Bar Acacia Avenue" exposing the club after the incident was shared by Vanessah Lipswizy Solomon who claims she's one of the girls that got beaten by the Wink Bar guard. Read the full post here.
In the statement, Vanessah revealed that she and the girls went to the Police;
We were so hurt and humiliated we decided to go to the nearby Police on Acacia Avenue to make a report but we were directed to the Golf course Police police, The golf Course police directed us to Wandegeya Police, then Wandegeya Police directed us to Old Kira Road. After all we made a statement and went with the police to Wink.
but no much help was given
For some unknown reasons the guy was not detained or arrested instead the management collaborating with the security decided to threatened us that they were going to call some CID officers to arrest and Detain us.
And what happened after the beating and police doing nothing about it?
The footage shows the girls in a bitter quarrel with a police officer—who they had supposedly came back with to confront the guards for their actions—and Wink guards. One of the girls must have been so irritated after putatively the police ignored them instead of doing something, she pulled her skirt up and showed them—what else—her genitals. What to do if you can't fight corrupt law?
At some marks in the footage, the police officer can be seen standing on the side — ignoring the girls as they were being provoked by the guards — like nothing was happening.

A statement that appeared on Wink Bar's official Facebook page about 5 hours ago reads;
Official Statement Released By WINK Bar!
We have read the post on social media, accusing us of beating five girls who came to our premises on Saturday morning to enjoy the facilities. The said allegation is false. we have reviewed the CCTV footage and interviewed our security and this is what happened.
Five girls came to Wink premises at about 2 am in the morning. four were allowed in and one denied entry because of being under age. The girls became unruly and abusive towards security . One of them picked a brick and tried to attack the policeman who was at the gate and she was chased down the road.
Non of our staff got involved in running after her and non of our staff beat up any of the girls.
The girls came back later with police at about 4 am. The police reviewed our CCTV footage and were satisfied non of our staff was involved in whatever happened to the girls.
Wink management has a video footage of the incident which we have shared with police and we are going to post it on our page as well.
We are consulting our lawyers with a view to taking legal action against whoever's Is involved in tarnishing our names with these malicious lies
