Hundreds of people living on shores of Lake Victoria are on the verge of being swept away as "nightmare" flooding continues to batter parts of rich people’s homes!

When they say the Rich also cry, this is what they mean as forces of nature squeeze them up in a corner.  Howwe can exclusively tell you that these rich fellas are currently worried to the balls lately after their beach houses along the lake have been partially submerged in the water.

Among the affected palatial homes, Pastor Kayanja, Pastor Gerry Skinner, Charles Mbire and young tycoon Ham.

Ham's over Ugx. 6 bn house is experiencing what those in Bwaise feel after the rain. See video below.

For the rich it's easy though as most have relocated upstairs or to other places.

“Ham is heartbroken seeing his house and compound messed up by water. He now has to give visitors gum boots to walk around the compound” a friend said

What is causing the floods?

A few months ago, the Police and marines from the UPDF warned after 50 people died at the beach that the water after weather conditions at the lake seemed to have changed as huge waves continue to slap the beach shores.

However, talking to weather experts they confirmed its true huge waves are continuously slapping the beach shores and may continue til May.

The experts have attributed that scenario to a possible occurrence of a Seiche— also known as inland tidal wave similar to a tsunami but occasionally occurs on inland lakes!

Seiches are typically caused when strong winds and rapid changes in atmospheric pressure push water from one end of a body of water to the other.

When the wind stops, the water rebounds to the other side of the enclosed area.

The water then continues to oscillate back and forth for hours or even days.

Shocking records show that an officially recorded seiche last happened on Lake Victoria in 1957. Could it be happening now? Experts are still investigating….
