Musician-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi, widely known as Bobi Wine, frequently criticizes artists for accepting funds from the Ugandan government through the Uganda National Musicians Federation, arguing they should instead join him in denouncing President Museveni's administration. This stance has often led to clashes between Bobi Wine and certain artists.
Now, fellow musician Khalifa Aganaga has publicly stated that Bobi Wine should cease engaging in musical discourse and instead concentrate on his presidential ambitions. Aganaga believes that Bobi Wine's decision to run for the highest office has elevated his status, and he should now look beyond music to focus on ascending to power.
"Bobi Wine is presidential material; he shouldn't be discussing music," Aganaga asserted in an interview with a local YouTuber. "He is the people's president and should concentrate on taking power from Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. He is in that league of the big boys and shouldn't be coming low to talk about us artists."
Khalifa Aganaga suggests that Bobi Wine, no longer an active member of the music industry, should delegate representatives if he wishes to discuss its operations.
