Fast-rising musician Kapeke has opened up about his approach to collaborations following his recent Valentine’s Day performance in London at Royal Regency Hotel.
The singer returned to Uganda earlier this week and has since been making headlines, especially around his journey abroad and growing international exposure.
When asked why he didn’t land collaborations with UK-based musicians during his London visit, Kapeke explained that not everyone understands his style and creative direction.
“You don’t just come from nowhere and make a collaboration. You make plans. I am not looking for collaborations with people who aren’t interested. I only work with those who understand my art,” he said.
Kapeke added that all his collaborations are carefully planned and based on mutual interest, rather than hype or convenience.
Currently, Kapeke is one of the most booked Ugandan musicians, with his popularity and demand continuing to rise both locally and internationally.
