Outspoken singer Mansur Ssemanda has taken a bold swipe at Uganda’s legislative body, declaring himself the “Speaker of the People’s Parliament.”
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, King Saha criticized the Parliament of Uganda, accusing it of failing to fulfill its responsibilities.
“I am the Speaker of the People’s Parliament and I assure you I’m doing a better job—even better than the current Parliament of Uganda,” he said.
The singer argued that he has been more active in addressing national issues, claiming he consistently calls out corruption, abuse of office, and other injustices affecting ordinary citizens.
According to King Saha, his platform and voice have enabled him to represent the concerns of the public more effectively than elected leaders.
His remarks have since sparked mixed reactions, with some supporters praising his boldness, while critics question his comparison to formal institutions.
