Musician Mike Wine has announced that his upcoming concert, slated for November 15th at Serena Hotel, Kampala, will be open to all Ugandans regardless of their political affiliation.
Although a known supporter of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Mike Wine emphasized that the event will be purely musical and not political. He invited fans from all parties — including those who support the National Resistance Movement (NRM) — to come together and celebrate music.
“I don’t want to mix politics with my show. Fans from all political parties are welcome because this is a music event, not a political rally. I support NUP, but even those who subscribe to NRM are welcome,” Mike Wine said in an interview with a local YouTuber.
The singer, who is also the brother to NUP President Bobi Wine, has in the past faced criticism from some opposition supporters who accuse him of using the political struggle for personal gain through concerts.
This will be Mike Wine’s second major concert in a year, following his successful performance at Jahazi Pier in September 2024.
