Comedian Reign sparked laughter and reactions during his performance at the Galaxy FM Zzina Festival after making a playful promise tied to Arsenal Football Club’s success.
While addressing the crowd, Reign jokingly declared that if Arsenal wins any trophy this season, he would switch his political allegiance and start supporting the National Resistance Movement (NRM) led by President Yoweri Museveni.
“I would like to boldly say this in front of my fans that if Arsenal wins any trophy this season, however small it is, I will join and support NRM,” he said.
Reign, a well-known Manchester United supporter, appeared to be engaging in football rivalry banter rather than making a serious political statement.
His remarks come amid Arsenal’s continued pursuit of silverware after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title in recent seasons.
