Rev. Vincent Kirabo Appointed New Bishop Of Hoima

The Holy Father, Pope Francis has appointed Rev. Vincent Kirabo, a professor at St. Mary’s major seminary Ggaba as the new Bishop of hoima.

The development comes at least a year and a half since the death of Bishop Deogratias Muganwa Byabazaire in February 2014.

Bishop elect Kirabo was born on Oct. 1st 1955 in Hoima. He was ordained a priest on 9th September 1979 under the Hoima diocese.

Bishop-elect Kirabo holds a Master’s in education from the University of Portland USA. The Bishop’s appointment was announced in Vatican today.
