Jamal Wasswa Shares the Inspiration Behind His Song 'Abakyala Bazira'

Musician Jamal is known for being a ladies' man who has released several songs praising women and their roles in family and child-rearing.

His most outstanding song, however, is "Abakyala Bazira," which has remained popular for over ten years.

In the song, he praised women for being world heroes and breadwinners.

Jamal says the inspiration for the song is a true story. The singer explained that he grew up with his mother after his father abandoned the family. It was his mother who struggled for their survival.

"I used to live with my parents, but my dad left at some point, and we continued struggling with my mum. That's the story behind that song, and it was so touching to me personally," he explained in part during an interview with a local television station.
