Musician Moses Saali, also known as Bebe Cool, has spent almost a full year working on his album. The album is dubbed "Break the Chains" and will be officially released on the 30th of this month.
Speaking about the album, the Gagamel boss explained he has so far spent over Uganda shillings two billion, five hundred sixty million on the production of the album.
He has spent the money on songwriting, production, mastering, and other areas related to the creation of the album, including facilitating his production team in and out of Uganda.
The album was produced and mixed in Nigeria, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
Bebe Cool, however, says he needs over two billion Uganda shillings (or "$2 million") to promote the album across the world.
He is, however, seeking investment from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. He wants the President to support him financially to enable him to promote the album globally.
"So far, I have spent $700,000 on my album. It takes a lot of money to do great music, and I will need over $2 million to promote the album across the world. I will actually need the President to support me in this," he explained.
Bebe Cool believes the album will open doors for Ugandan music on the international stage. He wants to do it to inspire other artists to take on the same investment for the betterment of the industry.
