Events promoter Abbey Musinguzi, known as Abtex, announced Jose Chameleone's concert in April of this year.
He had confirmed that the concert would take place at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds on September 5th and had been working toward that goal until earlier this week.
Speaking in an interview with Spark Television, Abtex confirmed the event's cancellation, revealing that it will no longer be held on that day.
Abtex explained that he and Jose Chameleone failed to reach an agreement on financial issues and he can no longer proceed with the concert.
"I have since canceled Jose Chameleone's concert, which I had scheduled for September 5th. I can no longer celebrate him as I had planned; I can't plan an event under pressure. He asked for an abnormal amount of money, and that's where we failed to agree," he explained in the interview with a local television station.
Abtex added that Chameleone is free to stage the event personally or work with another promoter to do so.
